Mackinac Island Ferry Company is now hiring a Maintenance/Handy Person
We are looking to add to our crew a Carpenter/Handy Person. An ideal candidate would have hands on installation of structures, rough carpentry, fixtures, drywall, light plumbing, light electrical, and light appliance work.
Must be able make recommendations and provide solutions to building & maintenance projects. Knowledge of building codes and permit requirements.
Experience and safe operation with various power tools and equipment is required.
Requirements:
- Practice and adhere to all safety guidelines
- Reliable transportation
- Motivated and self disciplined
- Good listening skills and an ability to effectively communicate
- Able to lift 65+ pounds, climb, work overhead, reach, bend, stoop
- Available to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, holidays as needed
- Complete non-routine tasks as assigned.
