Guest Services Representative Job at The Green Bridge Inn
The guest services representative is the first person to greet all GBI guests and customers. Guest Services Representatives are responsible for providing front desk services for the hotel, tending the registers for both Red Cliff Provisions & Red Cliff Liquors, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and answering phones for all businesses. The best guest services representatives will have tremendous patience when dealing with guests and customers and strive to accommodate their needs with enthusiasm and professionalism. Given the intimate nature of our small business, all employees are the face of the business and as such are expected to come to work in a way that represents the brands missions, visions and goals of the GBI.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Greeting guests and customers upon arrival and making them feel welcomed.
Administering check-ins and check-outs.
Running the register for all businesses - GBI, RC Provisions & Liquors
Assigning rooms and taking care of administrative duties.
Processing guest payments.
Coordinating special arrival needs with housekeeping and management.
Being a source of information to guests and locals on various matters such as transportation, recreations and dining.
Accommodating general and unique requests.
Diffusing conflict or tense situations with guests.
Maintaining a clean & well-stocked environment within the lobby stores.
Completing the daily check-list for all businesses.
Answering phones and providing strong customer service.
Completing assigned and unique projects from management.
Monitor, organize and forward emails.
Handling guest reservations and transactions through the provided Property Management Systems (PMS) and Point of Sale System (POS)
Ability to assist housekeeping on high-occupancy/turnover days
We are looking for a fantastic candidate with the following qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of customer service experience.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Good multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Conflict resolution experience.
Patience and good listening skills.
Utilizing PMS & POS Systems with proficiency
Strong Team member who looks out for and supports their fellow colleagues by completing their daily responsibilities.
Available to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends when needed
While all this experience is a definite plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who has an awesome attitude and a can do spirit! Must be able to lift at least 30lbs and must be at least 21 years old.
