Location: Kutztown, PA

Shift: 1st 7am - 3:30pm (must be willing to work OT)

Description:

As a grinder, you’ll use grinders or chipping hammers to remove excess steel, bevel, round or straighten edges, and remove defects, burrs and holes in order to meet product specifications

You’ll also inspect the final product using production gauges

What you’ll do:

Positions castings on work bench using hoist

Visually inspects castings and notes what work needs done

Positions and manually guides grinder or chipping hammer along specified guidelines on edge or surface of casting

Uses production gauges to verify specifications of castings are to standard

Verify number and type of casting to be prepared for shipment

Performs general housekeeping /clean up in work area

Performs other duties as assigned

Work Environment:

This is a foundry, a hot, heavy industrial environment. Jeans & Long sleeved shirts, hardhat, steel toed boots, with metatarsals and respirators will be worn at all times.
