OVERVIEW:

As the Graphic Designer, you will support the Castlerock Asset Management Marketing Team in executing on-brand marketing initiatives for the Bobby Hotel and The Westin in Nashville. You will assist the department in activating traditional and non-traditional marketing campaigns to enhance the awareness and image of each hotel. As the “creative coordinator” for the Marketing Department, a few of your duties will include laying out and coordinating hotel/outlet collateral and creating design templates, mock-ups, advertising, infographics, PowerPoints/decks, branding, invites, posters, and contributing to overall team efforts. Success is measured by the successful adoption, execution, and completion of marketing campaigns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Main responsibility will be supporting and coordinating marketing initiatives to support Bobby Hotel and Westin marketing plans and business objectives
  • Assist in coordinating the execution of marketing plans at the Bobby Hotel and Westin Nashville as outlined by the Area Director of Marketing and PR
  • Executing the Plan
    • Designing and coordinating campaign-supporting assets
    • Assist in the development of all internal and external marketing materials
    • Coordinate estimates for projects, collateral, and other marketing-supportive creative initiatives and materials
    • Create and assist in the creation of design mock-ups, branding elements, logos, infographics, presentation decks, advertising, signage, invites, e-newsletters, posters, menus, merchandise, packaging, and other graphic assets
    • Coordinate, create, and design text, image, and video social media content to support social media strategies and campaigns
    • Assist with day-to-day tasks, including creating and sourcing design elements for websites, emails, collateral, and presentations
    • Create print-ready files for production
    • Assist in maintaining, organizing, and inventorying all marketing assets, including photos, videos, print items, and coordinate distribution to appropriate departments or individuals
    • Prepare event and promotional presentations as needed
    • Assist in ensuring consistency of published content across all hotel and outlet listings on websites and other channels
    • Develop strong working relationships with outside vendors to ensure quality, cost-effective creative executions
  • Supporting the Marketing Team
    • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities, including but not limited to expense reporting, inter-departmental reporting, etc.
    • Monthly report coordination
    • Assist in coordinating programs with the Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, and PR Manager
    • Process invoices and track costs for relevant marketing initiatives
    • Support administrative duties and special projects or tasks as assigned


ADDITIONAL POSITION DUTIES:

  • Comply with quality assurance standards
  • Follow company and department policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; wearing nametag; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets
  • Follow property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters)
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
  • Have access to reliable transportation and follow the attendance policy
  • All other duties as assigned


OTHER:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Castlerock policies and procedures for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities. Employees who violate company rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
