This position is at the Florida Center for Reading Research, located at Innovation Park.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for pre- and post-award sponsored research activities for FCRR faculty as assigned by Department Budget Manager. Responsible for budget tracking, proposal development, preparation of financial report for individual research contracts and grants, and assisting and processing administrative functions related to sponsored research administration. Duties include: Daily budget tracking and preparation of financial reports for individual research contracts and grants. Coordination of required administrative services for all assigned projects. Coordination of proposal writing and submission, while working with FCRR faculty to apply for grants. Monthly budget reconciliation and transaction verification of all assigned projects.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and one year of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent five years or experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to obtain eSPEAR certification within the first six months in position.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field; Knowledge in contract and grant oversight and management; Experience using OMNI Financials, and experience in managing contracts and grants.
Other Information
This position will work with a team of analysts to manage the contract and grant funded projects at the Florida Center for Reading Research. General accounting knowledge, and experience with Excel spreadsheets is helpful, but not required. If you enjoy working as a part of a collaborative team, in a growing research center, this is the position for you. Our offices are located at Innovation Park, adjacent to FSU main campus, and partial remote working is allowed.

Anticipated Salary Range
