Merrimack College is currently seeking candidates for a number of Graduate Fellowship positions in the area of Teacher Education (PreK-12).

As a K-12 teacher fellow, you’ll work in a school district for a full academic year, gaining unparalleled and invaluable field experience, while studying full-time online or on-campus to earn your Master of Education and teaching license -- all tuition free!

In order to be considered for a fellowship you must apply to one of our Master of Education in Teacher Education programs. This is a 1 – year accelerated academic and experiential program with a full tuition waiver awarded to successful candidates.

  • Community Day Charter School, Lawrence
  • Haverhill Public Schools
  • Lawrence Family Development Charter School
  • Lynnfield Public Schools
  • Newburyport Public Schools
  • North Andover Public Schools
  • St. Augustine School, Andover
  • And more...

Position Responsibilities:

As a K-12 teacher fellow, you’ll work in a school district for a full academic year, gaining unparalleled and invaluable field experience. You’ll engage in a range of classroom-based activities, including small group instruction, co-teaching, and ultimately, independent classroom instruction. Fellows graduate in one year, tuition-free.

After completing their coursework, residency, and a portfolio project, Teacher Education Fellows graduate with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and initial licensure in their chosen area of specialization:

  • Elementary (1-6)
  • Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8)
  • English as a Second Language (PreK-6)
  • Middle School (5-8)
  • High School (8-12)

Important Dates for the 2022-2023 Teacher Education Fellowship Program:

  • Priority Appilcation Deadline: January 5, 2023
  • Regular Application Deadline: February 15, 2023
  • Program and Site Interviews (virtual): Ongoing
  • Courses Begin (on-campus): Summer I session; May 2023
  • Fellowship Placements Begin: late August 2022 to late June 2023
  • Summer Orientation: August 2023
