Kumon Math and Reading Center of Merrifield, VA is looking for energetic people who are willing to work in a high paced learning center.

Kumon is an after-school math and reading program that was founded in Japan in 1958. Kumon offers a method of learning that provides individualized, self-paced instruction of math and reading aimed at helping children reach and exceed their school grade level.

We are looking for long-term candidates with the availability to work two weekday evenings (Mondays - Thursdays from 4:00-7:15 PM). Pay rate is $12 to $15 per hour.

Ideal candidates should have: experience working with students, teaching or tutoring, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong math/reading aptitude, the ability to multi-task, follow teaching guidelines, and attend trainings

Ideal candidates should have: experience working with students, teaching or tutoring, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong math/reading aptitude, the ability to multi-task, follow teaching guidelines, and attend trainings.

• Grade all the students’ homework and classwork.
• Return classwork if students need to make corrections.
• Monitor student study approach during class.
• Keep track of when students enter and when they are scheduled to leave.
• Keep work area neat and organized.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
