Gourmandie Wine and Après Job at Schweitzer Mountain Resort
POSITION SUMMARY: Clerk of specialty food outlet including running of cash register, selling wine and customer service. May occasionally help with food preparation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for providing excellent customer service. Sell products, deliver prepared food and wait on tables. Receive product deliveries, ensuring invoice and order accuracy. Stocks, rotates, merchandises and faces products accordingly. Will execute on wine and specialty food tastings. Must be knowledgeable of Idaho State Liquor and Identification laws. Maintain the Department of Health food safe practices and cleanliness. Maintain a high level of product knowledge and product preparation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking for up to 10 hours per shift. Will stand in place for up to 8-10 hours at a time. Will lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist and reach above shoulder level. Will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is 90% inside and 10% outside.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in giving directions and answering questions. Performs other duties as assigned.
AVAILABILITY: Must be available weekends and holidays

SKILLS:
Must have excellent interactive skills with customers and co-workers. Accurate and consistent cash handling. Ability to multi-task and remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment. Wine and Specialty Food knowledge.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma required. Must be at least 19 years old to sell alcohol.
EXPERIENCE:
Grocery, retail, and food knowledge/experience preferred. Cash handling and wine steward experience helpful.

None
MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED:
Slicer, mixer, blender, dishwasher, coffee grinder, knives, grill, scale, point of sales system and misc. hand tools.
