Shihua is a public company specializing in research and development, manufacturing of pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, and liquid adhesives. Factories based in China with sales and technical support teams worldwide. We support top-tier customers all over the world covering consumer electronics, electric vehicles, and medical devices spaces. We are looking for an ideal candidate who has strong technical background in polymer and chemistry engineering to join our sales team here in Cupertino, CA. You will be focusing on providing technical support to our sales team, interacting with customers, providing technical guidance to R&D team in China to help develop new products based on the application requirement.

Responsibility:

• Responsible for advanced market and product research for consumer electronics, EV, and medical businesses. Develops technical guidance to R&D team, leads the product development programs, interacting with customers to collect all requirement, provide support, and communicate with internal team to drive the development.
• Collect industrial trends, and market data, analyze and evaluate competition of entry and propose proposition product development, technology, and applications. Report to management to support driving of development activities.
• Ideally, the candidate needs to have strong background working with adhesive chemistry, formulations in the past.
• Prepare and guarantee monthly, quarterly and annual project development report.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in polymer sciences, materials engineering, chemistry etc. An advanced degree is preferred.
• High result orientation and capability to manage complex projects and communication needs independently.
• At least 3 years experience in adhesive chemistry development.
• Willingness to travel on the job domestically and internationally. (20%)
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Positive attitude towards proactive communication and networking.
• High level of presentation and communication skills in front of demanding audiences.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with demonstrated critical thinking capabilities
• Fluent in Chinese is a plus.
