VENZA is currently seeking a Global Executive Vice President (GEVP) of Sales to add to its team.
Accountability Summary
This is a unique full-time opportunity for a driven professional who wants to join a growing company and lead its global sales team. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the GEVP of Sales will work to drive revenue targets, grow existing customers, create new customers, and meet monthly sales quotas while increasing customer satisfaction and maintaining high renewal rates. Success will require collaboration with Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Accounting.
Duties and Responsibilties
Advocate VENZA
You and your team will represent VENZA in the marketplace. You have a lot of influence on how far VENZA can go to satisfy the market’s needs. Therefore, you are accountable to:
- Represent the image of high quality and value to the marketplace
- Ensure that customers receive maximum value for their investment
Deliver the Sales Plan
You are accountable for achieving revenue goals. Therefore:
- Develop a strategy to achieve 5-year revenue target.
- Develop plans and strategies to meet annual revenue target.
- Plan, coordinate and execute team resources to achieve objectives
Contribute toward VENZA’s Future
You and your team present solutions and programs to prospective customers. Therefore:
- Communicate feedback from the marketplace to internal teams (i.e., Product Marketing, Customer Success, executive leadership)
- Promote “release” events
- Contribute to the evaluations of current offerings and provide feedback
Drive Customer Renewals
You and your team shepherd existing customers toward a continuation of the relationship. Therefore:
- Communicate solution and program successes to solidify renewals
- Be aware of solution and product growth opportunities
- Assist client renewals for selected, identified accounts
- Oversee the development and implementation of account planning
- Communicate program successes to solidify renewals
- Facilitate client renewals for the entirety of the client portfolio
- Contribute to the continued maturation of “know your customer” models
Drive Sales, Upsells, and Cross-sells
You and your team show the marketplace how solutions, products and services may help. Therefore:
- Positively present all solutions, products, and services by compiling data and conducting presentations, and sharing marketing materials
- Work with the internal teams (i.e., Product Marketing, Customer Success/Security) to evaluate current product/solution adoption and future product/solution potential
- Close sales opportunities
- Approve and sign sales proposals and subscriptions agreements
- Actively seek ways to create opportunities for customer growth
Build Collaborative Internal Relationships
You and your team communicate the answer the question: “What does VENZA do?” Therefore:
- Monitor and/or lead internal kickoff sessions
- Monitor the progress of accounting receivables and actively contribute to internal initiatives and sessions to ensure positive account balances
- Contribute to internal and external communications for implementation, education, and troubleshooting
- Review and approve tools/portals that will help to standardize and improve processes
- Strive to understand the customer’s “horizon” of plans and ambitions and subsequently share this valuable information to the rest of VENZA
- Contribute to strategic, cross-functional initiatives such as customer journeys, maturity models, voice-of-customer, and solution/product feedback
- Work interdepartmentally to contribute to a positive client experience
Lead a Team
You will lead the sales team. Therefore:
- Assist in the hiring and review of employees and contractors within the sales team
- Communicate objectives, plans, and deadlines to the sales team
- Present honest evaluations of the successes and shortcomings of the sales team via verifiable metrics
- Manage sales commission and incentive programs for the sales team
- Experience managing a global team and ensuring that deliverables are met
- Language Skills – German or Spanish (Native Speaker), English (Fluent)
- Foreign Residence – either The Netherlands, Mexico, or Germany preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university.
- Six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of the VENZA’s solutions, products, and services
- Knowledge of competitive products and markets
- Possesses the drive and energy required to lead a team of like-minded professionals
- Exhibits awareness of best practices and methods
- Experience in a fast-paced working environment and the ability to multi-task and troubleshoot under pressure
- Proven track record of managing multiple departments/project influencers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple time-sensitive deadlines
- Excellent presentation skills, data interpretation, and diagram builds
Compensation
- Salary 150.000 (EU or foreign currency equivalent) annually, plus commission
