A Glass Glazing Technician is an individual who works with all types of glass, plus performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
The Glazer is familiar with the process of fitting glass, while also can perform work-station operations to assemble architectural aluminum windows
- Starting hourly rate of $18.40 / hour; attendance bonus available after 90 days
- Monday to Thursday (ten-hour shifts); Overtime on Friday (if necessary)
- Two shifts available - 4:45 AM to 3:15 PM or 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- This position is with the Wausau plant at 909 E Thomas Street, Wausau, WI 54403
Responsibilities
Qualified Candidate Must:
- Learn Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope quality standards
- Be able to learn assembly of Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope’s standard systems.
- Must be able to read/use a tape measure..
- Be able to learn to clean & apply sealant
- Inspect assembled windows
- Must be able to lift/move maximum of 75 lbs. intermittently.
- Must be able to stand on his/her feet for 10 hours.
- Overtime is required as needed
- Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules, are essential functions of your job.
- Ability to wear required safety equipment, including safety boots with metatarsal guards and stand for extended periods of time
