Girder Operator (Machine Operator) - Hazleton, PA Job at First in Service
Job Description
A Girger Operator is a machine operator working with steel. The individual who starts this job will manage an industrial machine that puts steel product through it for shaped finished product. These finished products are support beams for building structures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Previous industrial machine operating experience
- Maybe someone with an extrusion background
- Need tohave Basic mechanical skills
- Buttwelding, measuring, convverting from mm to inches, working with welders on machine
- Able to provide some maintenance on the machine
- Entry level position
- Read and follow job orders.
- Determine the required materials and products.
- Prepare and set up machines for production clean, calibrate, etc.
- Carry out machine operation tests.
- Control and run the machine to the fullest extent.
- Being able to maintain the machine and troubleshoot.
Requirements
- Must wear steel toe shoes (boots/sneakers)
- Must wear long sleeves
- Hardhats, ear protection, and safety glasses will be provided
- Some OT as needed
- Bilingual is a plus
Schedule is Monday -Thursday, 2nd shift (2pm - 12:30a)
