Eldon C. Stutsman, Inc. is hiring a motivated individual for our General Operations positions in Hills, Iowa. This position has hands-on experience in overall operations and will perform a variety of duties. Duties may include assisting with retail fertilizer, maintenance, and bin crew operations.

Responsibilities:

• May assist with retail fertilizer operations such as hauling fertilizer and farm chemicals, and loading, unloading, and mixing fertilizer.
• May clean and assist with anhydrous tanks.
• May repair, install, and/or maintain various grain systems and/or equipment as needed.
• Assist with inventory control as needed.
• May perform preventive maintenance and make repairs and/or adjustments to keep equipment in operating order.
• Works with customers and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Attends schools and meetings as requested.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and demonstrated experience in agricultural or combination of education and work experience.
• Must have all applicable licenses as required by State and Federal agencies prior to performing duties that require licensure.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe.
• Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements preferred or ability to obtain within a designated timeframe.
• Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, lift-evaluation and background investigation.
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours in-season; including nights and weekends.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in a non-climent controlled environment.
• Frequently climb in and out of the vehicle.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
• Ability to frequently and repeatedly walk, bend, stoop, climb, reach, push, pull, and lift 80 lbs. from floor to waist level.
• Must wear proper personal protective equipment, safety shoes and protective eyewear, when required.

• Full time Monday thru Friday. Saturdays typically until noon, Sunday is worked pending weather.
• Overtime is applicable after 40 hours in a week. Average is 300 hours per year pending weather and spring/harvesting season.
