Summary/Objective

Responsible for assisting designated shipping & receiving team in a variety of functions including, but not limited to maintenance, clean up, yard work, warehouse, production, utilities, material handling and other. Manually move freight, stock, or raw materials and finished materials or perform other general labor. Includes all manual laborers not elsewhere classified.

General

• 
  Receive and locate all incoming material from trucks and other sources into the ROI locations provided
• Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure packaging meets specifications
• Uses personal protection equipment at all times and follows all safety regulations.
• Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
• Report any unsafe conditions or defective equipment to the supervisor immediately. Must attend weekly safety meetings.
• The employee is regularly required to lift and move up to 50lbs. Occasionally the employee may need to lift up to 65lbs, – should this be the case, employees should engage in team lifting and/or use the provided equipment to safely lift

Clean-up

• 
  Clean-up surrounding area keeping space free of debris during down time.
• Cleans floors and picks up reusable scrap for salvage
• Transport trash and debris away from production areas

Utility/Production Equipment

• 
  Operates equipment as trained and instructed following safety guidelines at all times.
• Work closely with the lead and become knowledgeable in the area in which you assist.
