About Biewer: We are a family of businesses that operate 7 lumber and building products companies throughout the Midwest. Companies include sawmills, treating plants and distribution centers. Summary: Assist in the daily operations in the Lumber Yard by working in the Tagging, Stacking, and Splitting departments. As a Stacker or Splitter you will smoothly and efficiently split and package lumber into a unit size of proper dimension, grade, quality & piece count. As a Tagger, you will accurately tag all units. Must demonstrate a willingness to work in multiple departments as necessary.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM. Overtime required as needed.

Compensation: $17.25 per hour. $1.00 Shift Differential after 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work in various departments, as needed.
• Stacker: Package lumber into a unit size of proper dimension, grade, quality & piece count.
• Tagger: Use tagging/staple gun to attach customer-required tags/labels.
• Splitter: Uses lumber splitter machine to size units of lumber, ensure even ends and appropriate appearance of units.
• Responsibly follow all safety procedures and policies, work together with co-workers to ensure a safe workplace environment and culture.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• General Lumber and/or Building Materials knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work outside, year-round
• Ability to stand for 90 % of an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reading, writing, and math competency demonstrated by high school diploma or equivalent.
