Job Description
The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) invites applications for the position of Program/Project Support Coordinator II. This position provides administrative support for the UMKC Essentials, General Education Program, the University College, and the Vice Provost for Curriculum and Assessment. The University seeks experienced, innovative, and dynamic individuals who will become part of the team for university-wide academic program support.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative support to the Vice Provost of Curriculum and Assessment including – organizing calendars and meetings and monitoring departmental email.
- Assist with University College and UMKC Essentials, General Education course demand projections, capacity planning, and scheduling coordinated with academic units across campus.
- Create correspondence, charts, tables, reports, etc., manages storage of information, and transmits information electronically (generally completed in Excel, Cognos, FilemakerPro). Uses the internet to do research as requested.
- Prepare reports and correspondence, prepares presentation documents, compiles, and distributes meeting notes, places supply orders, makes copies, and handles arrangements for events/meetings.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of accurate, undergraduate course rotation schedule for UAchieve Planner coordinated with academic units across campus.
- Review/verify UCollege and General Education income and expenses and make corrections as appropriate, and order supplies and equipment.
- Edits and maintains unit websites in coordination with UMKC Marketing and Communications.
- Provides exemplary service to current and prospective students, faculty and professional staff, and community members including parents, alumni, and practicing professionals interacting face to face, by phone, and by email.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the maintenance and reporting from a large data base is preferred. Some technical understanding of data base design and ad hoc reporting software is highly desirable.
- Three to five years progressively responsible office experience in an educational institution. Technical education or training beyond high school may be substituted for experience.
- Experience using office support software including word processing and spreadsheet analytical skills is necessary.
Full Time/Part Time
Full-time, benefits eligible
Salary
$19.77 to $22.11 /hr to commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity
