Job Responsibilities : Gage Engineer will be the primary contact responsible for maintaining the Quality System for their assigned location, and will ensure that this is compatible with the customers gage quality requirements. These activities will include but not limited to:

  • Maintain all gage records and engineering documentation (Repair form, Reject form, Gage Missing form, RGA’s, PMA’s, R&R’s, PFEP, GTS, and Stop Light Chart)
  • The Gage Engineer will write and issue all RFQ’s pertaining to gage and or equipment calibration, repair, rework, build only or design & build new
  • Follow up of all open RFQ’s and PO’s to ensure on time delivery
  • Ensure proper gages are in place per the plant control plan
  • All gage calibration certificates MUST BE reviewed for accuracy and content to ensure that they meet the requirements of ISO-17025 and are ready for use.
  • All certifications MUST BE stamp and signed by the Gage Engineer
  • Review of all rejected certifications and recommend the next proceeding steps, (Accept, Scrap or Repair), along with issuing a Red Gage Alert (RGA)
  • Issue a Red Gage Alert (RGA) for any past due certification and recommend corrective action along with alternative measuring method
  • Work closely with customer engineering department and corporate engineering on gage alterations related to process change. Write all RFQ’s related to the rework
  • Communicate commonality changes with the sister plants
  • Assist customer with the analysis of type 1 or type 2 studies performed on all variable gages with masters or certified artifact, in conjunction with the quality department. Recommend next course of action
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and positive work environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
