We are looking for reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic individuals to join our West store team as a Full Time Utility Sales Floor Associate 40 Hours per week. Schedule is Sunday 10:15am - 6:15pm, Mon-Wed 11am - 7pm & Sat 11:00am - 7:00pm.

As a Utility Sales Floor Associate, you'll be busy! You will work closely with other team members to provide customers with a positive shopping experience at our stores in alignment with the mission of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul. You would interact with customers in a caring and courteous manner by determining their needs, answering their questions about our merchandise, and making sales, while maintaining a tidy, stocked and organized counter and sales floor.

Based on the staffing needs and goals for the store, you may be asked to work the sales floor; straighten, stock or pull items; work as cashier or create new displays. It's a fun opportunity to gain retail experience in a thrift store environment.

Education and Experience

· High School or equivalent

· Excellent Reading and Math skills for retail sales transactions

· English proficiency is required; bilingual is a plus

· Previous experience working in retail or as a cashier is a PLUS, but will train

- Exceptional Attendance & RELIABILITY and CHEERFULNESS is a MUST

· High level of professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with team members and store customers

· Ability to remain calm and focused during stressful situations

- Ability to physically perform the key functions of the position

- Have reliable transportation

The employee is continuously standing and walking; and frequently bending and twisting; reaching above shoulders with hands and arms; pushing/pulling carts and lifting merchandise and objects up to 25 lbs to possibly 40 lbs . The employee must be able to distinguish color tags.

Pay: $13.00 per hour
