What You’ll Do:

• Develop and test code for features based on stakeholder requirements.

• Hands-on development writing maintainable, performant and testable code based on OO and MVC programming principles.

• Work with a team performing peer Code Reviews and write Unit/Integration tests to verify endpoints and ensure quality.

• Provide well-articulated documentation and support for integration to other internal applications and pipelines.

• Contribute to agile development activities including sprint-planning, standups, retros, and architecture meetings

• Work with DevOps and sys admin team to setup, configure and troubleshoot containers and server environments

Desirable Requirements:

• 3+ Years hands-on experience designing, building, and evolving a resilient distributed service architecture. Product is deployed both to the cloud (AWS) and our own Data Center.

• 2+ years developing enterprise-grade applications using modern languages, for example Java/C#/PHP. We like to use open-source languages and frameworks but believe in choosing the right tool for the job.

• Experience using version control systems such as Git/GitHub.

• Experience with database schema designs, best practices, and scaling.

• Experience with API services development, versioning, and best practices.

• Experience using API dev tools like Postman, IntelliJ, Cucumber.

• Advanced knowledge of object-oriented design, and programming techniques

• Organized, self-starter with outstanding written and verbal communication skills

In addition, it would be Nice to Have:

• Experience in digital publishing, data transformations and working with XML, XSLT, XSD a plus.

• Experience with Agile software methodology like Scrum. We use JIRA for project management.

• Experience with API gateway and API security.

• Experience designing scalable microservices using containers. We use Docker Swarm and Portainer.
