Location: Miami, Weston or Boca Raton, Florida

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns for various client types
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Record business transactions and maintain the general ledger, including bank and credit card reconciliations, accruals and journal entries
• Prepare financial reports
• Communicate directly with clients
• Act proactively to address and resolve issues
• Organize documents electronically in SharePoint and GoFileRoom
• Cultivate relationships and maintain contact with company clients

Desired Qualifications

• College degree in accounting or relevant experience
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including excellent grammar skills
• Excellent technology skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and interest in learning additional software packages as needed
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
• Ability to develop own processes and follow through with them
• Ability to exercise good judgment and decision making
• Ability to anticipate problems and act accordingly
• Time management skills - ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to take initiative, be assertive and maintain confidence
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Professional demeanor
• Organizational skills and detail-oriented nature
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
