Shifts: 5am-1pm every weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun); may cover AM shifts (5am-1pm) or PM (10am-6pm) shifts during the week

Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
The schedule is subject to change based on operational needs.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Cooks, prepares, presents, and serves food items.
  • Ensures that food is prepared in a manner, which is nutritious, safe, properly flavored, and in compliance with District, USDA, and accrediting agency standards for quality.
  • Communicates and coordinates daily with management on strategies to accomplish production and maintain quality standards.
  • Oversees the cooking activities of cooks and food service workers, as instructed by the director and kitchen supervisor.
  • Assists the director and supervisor in maintaining accurate daily production records.
  • Ability to follow safety & sanitation guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of food handling, preparation, production, and standard kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to handle and oversee various catered meetings and events.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, understand and speak English.
  • AA: EOE-M/F/V/D.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare food service setting is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation is preferred.
