· Receives and edits export or import orders

· Serves as the customer service liaison between the Company and the customer as a Freight Forwarder – Supply Chain partner

· Prepares all necessary documents such as commercial invoices, export declarations, certificate of origin, letters of credit

· Prepares international export or import documents timely and accurately according to custom's and customer's requirements.

· Arranges shipments through shipper's contracted carriers

· Reviews pertinent domestic and foreign trade regulations

What projects will you work on in this role?

· Freight Forwarding is never the same, you may work with a high-end retailer on one day and lifesaving medical equipment the next.

Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in importation of goods or an equivalent combination of both education and experience. This may include any combination of:

o Ocean Import

o Ocean Export

o Air Import

o Air Export

o Customs Clearance Brokerage

o Supply Chain – Freight Forwarder Experience

o Ocean Carrier

o NVOOC

· Knowledge of Letters of Credit preferred

· Knowledge of the movement of freight via air and/or ocean

· Knowledge of moving commodity shipments-such as steel, oil, aid, and relief

· PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Work, Access and Excel
