Approved Transportation & Warehousing, Ltd./Approved Freight Forwarders has immediate openings for a qualified Freight Coordinator 1 – 2 years’ experience in 3PL freight. The rate of pay is $19.00 per/hr. The hours for this position are 9:00am – 6:00 pm Mon- Fri (Open to overtime when offered).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Receive and process pick up requests by phone, fax or email (30 min email acknowledgment)

• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with shipper and consignees

• Prepare routing information and forward shipping instructions to appropriate parties

• Dispatch direct carriers or third-party freight logistic companies

• Manage ship dates and deliveries to ensure deadlines are met

• Respond to customers inquiries quickly and effectively via email or phone

• Track and trace freight, notify the customers of shipping dates, anticipated delays, or any additional information that may be required by the customer.

• Maintain good attendance and punctuality

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• Ability to quickly learn our TMS and WMS

• Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Must have phone skills and email etiquette to answer phone calls and respond to email

• inquiries in a timely manner

• Must possess positive team-work attitude, leadership skills and be open-minded to

• opportunities to improve

• Ability to confidently work in a rapidly changing, fast paced and result-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility if required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of 1 year of 3PL warehouse experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Sit or stand for extended periods of time
