RISE Services, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a variety of service models.

Our Host Homes model may be your answer for fresh direction, assistance in balancing your budget, and most importantly a way for you to provide a safe and loving home for a child with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

As a Host Home Parent, your goal is to develop meaningful relationships with the child placed in your home, while creating a safe and loving environment where they can thrive. Your success will allow the youth placed in your home to develop their confidence and independence, and ensure their physical and emotional safety.

How Host Homes is Unique:

• Salary: $2,400.00 - $3,000.00 per month
• We offer intensive and ongoing training and coaching to all parents joining our team
• Each home is eligible for 14-21 Overnight relief annually
• You'll receive 24/7 on-call phone support by our coordinator team
• We provide trained Direct Support Professionals for addional In Home Support during the week

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe home for a child/youth and incorporate them into family activities
• Remain calm in times of stress or excitement.
• Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed
• Utilize trauma-informed services to to help youth develop healthy relationships
• Encourage interaction and independence to promote positive social behavior
• Assist with daily activities, model and teach life skills
• Maintain the health and safety of adolescents in your care
• Administer and monitor medication, when necessary
• Attend and transport youth to appointments
• Document weekly progress reports, and incident reports as applicable

Requirements:

• Must be 21 or older.
• You must be a resident of the state of Oregon.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must have an extra empty bedroom for the individual to have their own space.
