Reliable Source Talent is seeking a trainable manufacturing associate for work in the Carmel, In area. This is a temp-to-perm position. Our client specializes in the production of Feedstock for Metal Injection Molding.
M-F 8am - 5pm

$15-18$ an hr. + occasional OT

Description

• Technician will use excel to prepare mix sheets (instructions will be provided)
• Technician will precisely weigh individual constituents (plastics and metal powder) for batch mixing
• Technician will run mixers & subsequent processing equipment
• Technician will be involved in shipping and receiving of finished and raw materials
• Technician WILL BE REQUIRED TO DRIVE A FORK TRUCK
• Technician will be asked to do miscellaneous tasks ie sweeping taking out trash etc

A manufacturing associate typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Inspecting parts for defects and making sure they meet specifications before they are shipped to the next step in the manufacturing process
• Performing basic calculations such as multiplication and division to determine materials requirements and costs
• Working with engineers and designers to create new products or improve existing ones
• Following safety rules to protect yourself and other workers from injury or death
• Maintaining production schedules by monitoring inventory of raw materials needed at each stage of production
• Operating machines that cut, bend, or weld metal or plastic materials into various shapes
• Installing parts into machinery or equipment according to manufacturer specifications
• Monitoring equipment operation and adjusting as needed to maintain optimal efficiency levels
• Recording data such as machine settings and production statistics

Requirements

• Applicant will possess modest mathematical skills
• Applicant will be willing to be trained as a forklift operator
• Applicant will have attention to detail skills
• Applicant will have a history of on time performance
• Applicant should work well in a team environment
• Applicant should understand that this can be a physically demanding position
• Some excel experience helpful but not necessary will train
