Forklift Driver Level II Job at Palmer Candy Company
Palmer Candy is looking for a day shift Forklift Team Member in our Warehouse at our Hwy 75 location.
Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday, with overtime hours scheduled frequently during busy season on Friday and Saturday.

A Day in the Life in our Warehouse: This position assists with the loading and unloading of supply shipments of our fine quality products in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner within the appropriate specifications outlined by company management.
- Regular attendance
- Operate forklift, electric/manual pallet jack, and high reach
- Safely and effectively load and unload products from trailers
- Assist in the arrangement of stock in warehouse and the delivery of items to appropriate departments and/or locations
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Prepare supplies, products, and shipments for transportation
- Check equipment to ensure health and safety regulations are met
- Perform simple maintenance and cleaning
- Maintain appropriate inventory counts of products
- Correctly record lot numbers, date codes and other product information required for shipment
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or management
Knowledge/Skill/Abilities
- 1-3 years for forklift experience in a Warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all functions within the plant and the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals at all levels.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and as required.
- Ability to maintain acceptable standards of conduct.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
- Lift 5 – 25 pounds frequently and up to 40 – 50 pounds occasionally.
- Standing for long periods of time, 8-11 hours per day.
- Repetitive motion and fast paced movement.
- Ability to handle, control and/or feel objects/product.
- Continual use of hands to handle, control or feel objects.
- Jarring movements from the loading and unloading of trailers is common.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.25 per hour
