Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Foreperson Custodial
Services for The Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). This position is under the general supervision of the Operations Area Manager. The
Foreperson of Custodial Services plans ,directs and coordinates all of the custodial responsibilities of a campus sector.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Interacts with Building Coordinators and vendors on a regular basis and
Posting Summary during special events, sports events, concerts and graduation to ensure proper cleaning, set-ups and the satisfactory completion of all tasks. * Hires, trains, and supervises custodial staff in the performance of their job responsibilities. Interprets university policies at the first line supervisory level.
- Responsible for conducting Step One grievances that arise in their work group.
- Responsible for coordinating, inspecting and accepting contract services in his/her area of responsibility.
- Maintains inventories, work orders, attendance and other required records accurately.
- Employee may be subject to mandatory overtime.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Under Policy 60.1.35, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the

COVID-19 Immunization individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after
Requirement receiving the final dose of any COVID-19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Eligibility for a booster against COVID-19 varies and is explained on the University’s web site located at https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine. Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
