Job Duties
Position supervises the activities of Food Service staff and inmates in the preparation and serving of meals to the population ensuring compliance with all policies. Manages operations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and security regulations. Responsible for budgeting, procurement, food storage, timekeeping and schedule management.
Minimum Qualifications
Working experience of large volume food operations, sanitation, and food safety standards; working experience of the computer and Microsoft Office programs to include Outlook; experience/skill in the operation of food service equipment; the demonstrated ability to supervise staff and/or inmates in a food service environment; and high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working experience of VA Department of Corrections policies and procedures for Food Services; Food Service experience working in a correctional, educational, hospital or similar institutional environment; and Serv-Safe Certification.
