We host rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies, receptions & corporate events. Our event venue highlights include: our riverside barn/event tent, gazebo, and expansive riverside lawn. For more intimate gatherings, we also offer the flexibility to host private celebrations in our main dining room, lodge, or private wine cellar.
We are looking for a Food and Beverage Manager with a strong level of wine knowledge to lead staff and contribute to that special experience for guests who visit and stay with us at Rainbow Ranch Lodge.
Job brief
We are looking for a professional food and beverage manager with good wine knowledge to be responsible for managing the F&B operations of our restaurant, bar, and wine cellar, and for delivering an excellent guest experience. The successful candidate will be able to forecast, plan and manage all F&B orders, staff, and financials. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage all Food & Beverage, along with Wine Program for the day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel with emphasis on motivation and teamwork
- Oversee schedules, policies, and procedures
- Guide wine cellar selections, create wine list and descriptions
- Order and maintain wine stock
- Educate waitstaff on wine, cellar selections, and pairings
- Make recommendations of wine based on guest preferences
- Manage wine dinner program creating wine and food pairings for intimate gatherings
- Continually make necessary improvements of the operation
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Report on management regarding sales results and productivity
Requirements
- Proven food and beverage management experience, minimum 3 years F & B in fine dining
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
- Strong interpersonal and sales skills
- Great Communication and leadership style
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant software, POS)
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
