Job Summary:

The Floral and Plant Production Line Worker is a general labor position, responsible for preparing potted plants for transport and sale in grocery stores in a total of seven states. Tasks vary with the order, but the work can include pulling and preparing plant pots, adding soil, watering the plants, trimming away dead leaves, and packing the finished products into boxes and pallets for transport.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepare workstations with ceramic pots, tin cans, or other containers
• Fold and stack cardboard boxes
• Transfer plants from transport cups to containers, adding soil or water when needed
• Load product into boxes and then onto pallets
• Works with leafy plants, flowers, and cacti

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong written communication skills
• Basic math, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Education and Experience:

• Some experience with production line work preferred
• Experience working with plants strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time

• Must be able to use/willing to learn to use a pallet jack and flat cart

• Willing to be on feet for the entire shift

• Must have the ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and reach to complete assigned tasks
