Cimarron is seeking experienced Flight software Test Engineers to provide support to the NASA Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover (VIPER) Program at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
Key Duties:

• Be responsible for the assigned testing of systems, including functional testing of new requirements, code changes, regression, and operational testing.
• Develop effective integration test procedures and scripts/scenarios for required tests.
• Perform system, regression, user acceptance, integration, and performance testing to ensure delivery of high-quality systems.
• Analyze “real-time” data and document failures/defects during test execution.
• Assess post-test data analysis, prepare test execution results, and report test result status.
• Help improve data and simulation knowledge tools, scripts/scenarios automation, and applications, and help train new team members in their use.
• Provide technical consultancy and innovation to internal and external flight software stakeholders.
• Collaborate with different disciplines in order to meet Integration Testing Goals.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
• 2 or more years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Java, C and C++.
• Embedded real-time programming experience.
• Knowledge of hardware/software integration and simulations.
• Strong software debugging skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with script development, including Perl, shell scripting, python, and/or tcl tk.
• Bachelor's degree.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• RTOS/VxWorks.
• Experience interpreting formal software requirements specifications.
• Knowledge of NASA software development policies and procedures.
• Aerospace industry experience.
• CMMI Level 3 processes.
• Simulation platforms.
