• Ensure safety, security, and comfort of our customers

• Ensure compliance with mandated Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations

• Responsible for the sale of onboard liquor, food, and other amenities

• Deliver service of meals and beverages according to service standards

• Respond to customer illness and injury and administer first aid

• Diffuse situations with unruly or upset customers and maintain order in the cabin

• Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines

• Any other duties assigned by management

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Minimum of two years direct customer service experience

• Basic Computer Knowledge

• Ability to read, write, understand and clearly speak in English

• Must be 21 years or older at the start of training

• Must have valid passports/documents with the ability to travel in and out of the USA and to all cities/countries served by Sun Country Airlines

• Work independently, yet work well with others as part of a team

• Excellent dependability and strong work ethic

• Ability to remain calm and respond to emergency situations including aircraft evacuations, in flight fires, bomb threats, unusual situations, and turbulence

• Able to manage emergencies and care for passengers under duress

• Constant alertness and ability to act in emergency situations

• Able to endure repetitive variances in altitude and cabin pressure

• Ability to relocate to within 2 hours of Gulfport International Airport (GPT) while on “reserve” (on call) status

• Able to be away from home for up to six (6) nights in a row

• Ability to work “reserve” (on call) status for extended period

• Fully fit into FA jump seats and secure the seat belt/shoulder harness assembly without modification in any manner to achieve closure

• Have enough vision to safely perform the essential functions of the position

• Have enough hearing acuity enough to communicate with co-workers and passengers

• Able to meet the demands of a vigorous and varied schedule

• Stamina appropriate to the duty requirements

• Must present a neat and professional appearance including adhering to Sun Country Airlines uniform and appearance standards. No visible tattoos and body piercings

Work Environment

This job primary operates in a pressurized aircraft for an extended period. During this time the employee will be exposed to loud and distracting sounds and noise levels. While the cabin of the aircraft is pressurized the employee will be exposed to recycled air. This position requires extensive travel; therefore, employees must be able to spend consecutive nights away from home and endure all climates.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. In addition, the employee must be able to frequently push and pull carts with weights between 100-250 pounds. This position is also required to have the ability to open and close the aircraft door in normal/emergency mode. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
