AT R.C. Moore, Inc. we take pride in having quality equipment and we are currently seeking a Mechanic that takes pride in their work. A Tractor or Trailer Mechanic will thoroughly inspect, detect, diagnose and repair any malfunctions or damages to R.C. Moore’s fleet of tractors.

***All new hires will be eligible to receive a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus***

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Inspect company operated tractors and detect any malfunctions or damages.
• Diagnose and repair any advised or detected malfunctions or damages.
• Suggest other necessary or recommended parts changes/replacements and services in addition to those directed to perform.
• Conduct scheduled inspections
• Perform regular services and maintenance.
• Responsible for requesting parts necessary to complete service or repairs from RCM’s Parts Manager.
• Interaction and communication with drivers to gain knowledge of tractor issues
• Effective coordination of work functions with fellow workers and other departments.
• Knowledge of and compliance with industry standard norms and regulations.
• Knowledge of and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Service or repair other company vehicles/equipment as directed.

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

• Good written and verbal skills
• Ability to detect and diagnose malfunctions
• Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines
• Sound understanding of appropriate usage of repair tools and testing equipment
• Must provide own basic tools and toolbox

Compensation based on experience. Possessing/maintaining a valid Driver’s License and possessing/having the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) are requirement for this position.
