Fitter/Welder Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
Reading blueprints for medium and heavy equipment manufacturing.
Welding medium to heavy steel plate fabrications using 1/16 and 3/32 flux core wire.
Welding light plates using .035 and .045 mig wire.
Reads and comprehends weld symbols from drawings and layout on fabrication.
Works with Shop Foreman in maintaining quality fit ups, weld profiles and proper weld sizes.
Work and communicate with other team members effectively.
Maintains responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned.
Fitter Welder Qualifications / Skills:
Strong blueprint reading skills
Welding using flux core and mig wire
Strong ability to layout and find best practice for job fit up from drawings
Ability to read instructions, labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety
Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Certificate from accredited welding program preferred.
At least 2 to 5 years fitting and welding experience preferred.
Current welding certifications accepted
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
