Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position of Fiscal Officer 2. The Fiscal Officer 2 Responsible for management of the accounting operations of the Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging including overseeing the accurate and timely completion and maintenance of ledgers and financial reports; establishment of appropriate internal audit and control procedures; development of cost allocation plans; and budget development/expense monitoring. Work is performed within the context of computerized accounting and billing system. Work is performed with a high degree of independence and is largely self-initiated based on work demands of a cyclical nature with specific reports and activities being due on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, yearly). Performance is reviewed by Supervisor through periodic staff meetings; comparison of report/budget submission dates with established due dates; and through the annual performance review process.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements

One year as a County Fiscal Officer 1; or two years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or four years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate’s degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or an equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
