Position Summary:*
Responsible for Installing Engineered Fire Suppression Systems per NFPA guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pull various types of wire and cable
• Cut and thread all types of pipe
• Install and bend ridged and EMT conduit
• Install, program and test Suppression panels
• Read, research, and identify project needs prior to job start
• Read and interpret vendor manuals, blueprints, and work orders to perform required installations
• Use a variety of hand and power tools in performing installations
• Trouble-shoot and repair faulty installations
• Responsible for maintaining all documentation and reports associated with daily work
• Evaluate customer sites for additional equipment and services that customer may require or that Kistler O’Brien Fire Protection may provide to customers
• Complete and accurately record required information onto electronic reports for the company
• Work in compliance with the company’s safety manual with safety of self and others in mind at all times
• Maintain company vehicles and appropriate inventory levels for jobs

Qualifications:*
Education and/or Experience:*

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of hand tools, including electric and battery powered equipment.
• Comfortable with heights and working on ladders or lifts.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to read and comprehend appropriate NFPA codes.
