Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Manager of Financial Services Development, the analyst is primarily responsible for system testing, process improvement planning/coordination, user access security, reporting development/maintenance, and training related to financial systems of The Guthrie Clinic. Accountable for all aspects of financial systems testing and functional database maintenance associated with those financial systems, assuring these changes still adhere to accounting guidelines. Functions in a collaborative role with an established project manager and technical staff to assure database integrity and continued system development.

Education, License & Cert:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an associate degree with 4 years’ experience in accounting required.

Experience:

Prefer two‐years of experience with Oracle Cloud Financials. Extensive microcomputer skills and spreadsheet application experience required. Database experience is preferred.

Essential Functions:

1. Maintain finance system database security; per system procedures

2. Maintain finance system tables based on approved procedures.

3. Promote communication with system users to develop system modifications and enhancements; while assuring these changes still adhere to accounting guidelines.

4. Assess process in Finance to assure each is performed in the most efficient manner; while assuring these changes still adhere to accounting guidelines.

5. Recommend priority of enhancements based on expected efficiencies gained.

6. Plan, coordinate, and implement financial system enhancements and upgrades.

7. Develop and maintain monthly financial reporting layouts and adhoc reporting needs.

8. Responsible for electronically delivering monthly financial reporting to the proper personnel.

9. Assist end users and IS Staff in troubleshooting technical difficulties relating to finance systems.

Other Duties:

10. Must become familiar with all systems used by Finance personnel, so that the impact on each system is considered when accessing process changes.

11. Develop and administer an orientation program for new employees and training sessions for additional system enhancements.

12. Track and report to the IS department all PC and computer related problems

13. Responsible for administration of the finance network security, documentation of network procedures and departmental computer related equipment.

14. Maintain current knowledge of product/technology trends related to financial systems.

15. Keep Manager of Financial Services Development informed on areas of responsibility.
