What we’re looking for:
We are currently hiring a full-time Financial Planning Analyst. The Financial Planning Analyst will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will collect and interpret data to help the Company take actionable steps to improve its performance and meet its goals. The duties will include gathering company information and statistics, building detailed and complex financial models that can be summarized and presented to executives and finding ways to improve the Company’s efficiencies using the gathered data.
As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will work closely with the CFO, Controller, VP of Sales, COO, CEO and other key leaders to present findings and answer questions as well as incorporate feedback from the leadership team. Any feedback will be used to make modifications to the financial models and account for all relevant business drivers.
The ideal candidate needs to be able to build and modify complex financial and data models. The ideal candidate will be able to summarize for the executive team with the goal of finding and analyzing opportunities for the company to improve performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide analytical support to multiple departments within the Company.
Coordinate with other members of the finance and IT teams to review financial information and forecasts.
Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.
Ensure that proper cost accounting procedures are followed within and outside of the Company’s ERP system.
Work closely with the IT department to dive deep into item costing and identify errors and determine the proper correction procedures.
Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
This role will have significant budgeting responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in business as an analyst or other similar roles working on advanced, complex financial models.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other highly technical degree.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing cost accounting.
- Self-motivated team member who sets goals and executes them with minimal oversight.
- Advanced skills with MS Excel including pivot tables, sum-ifs, V/H Lookup, Index Match, etc.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License Required.
- Able to quickly learn how to extract data (with guidance from IT) from a SQL server database and other systems such as our HRIS system Kronos.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, CMA, or other related advanced degrees and/or certifications.
- Ability to assist with ERP maintenance and implementation.
- Ability to write basic SQL queries.
- Working knowledge of Kronos HRIS systems.

Work Location: Ideal Candidate will live in Washington state and be able to travel to and from the Company’s multiple facilities. Candidate may work in a hybrid environment with at least 2 days per week on-site at the Company’s headquarters in Stanwood, WA.
