Job Overview

This is a highly analytical role that will oversee our company’s financial planning and analysis operations and reports directly to the CEO. The duties include establishing targets, developing budgets, and performing financial and operational analysis. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities. The goal will be to guide the company towards profitability, success and fostering a culture of professional development for the finance and accounting team.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Recommend policies to the Executive Staff and administer approved financial policies and directives to enhance accounting and financial administration and operations.
  • Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
  • Identify critical issues and perform financial and operational analyses on success factors for the organization or as requested by CEO. Present compelling results of analyses to Board, CEO and other Executive leaders that drive improvement.
  • Educate management and employees at all levels in financial sophistication and elevate the performance of the organization.
  • Oversee and manage the annual operating and capital budgets process and interface with the Board of Directors on the budgets and performance compared to budgets.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance.
  • Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
  • Coordinate with external financial entities on behalf of the company.
  • Take a leadership role in maintaining an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding between all members of the teak.
  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.

Qualifications:

Education or Degree Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant field.
  • Prefer a master's degree in a related field.
  • Other professional degrees and experience in health care administration are acceptable.

Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:

  • CPA, CFA certifications

Related Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in financial management.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate principals, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • An analytical mind with good organizational skills.
  • Outstanding leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills including ability to think strategically, to think “out of the box”, and to develop and grow new program opportunities.
  • Excellent staff development, staff retention, and team building skills.
  • Advanced Communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to read and interpret policy, procedures, or governmental regulations written in the English Language.
