Summary

The Financial Analyst, Procurement an innovative, self-motivated individual to both identify and execute on cost saving opportunities in credit card payments and procurement and perform control reviews of procurement activities. The primary responsibilities will entail supporting strategic procurement activities through baseline and cost savings analysis, identifying opportunities for cost savings on credit card acceptance, monitoring/preparing monthly banking and credit card reporting, analyzing purchasing activity for appropriateness and enhancement, ensuring user proficiency on various internal systems, and assisting the manager with various ad hoc requests. This position can work from Riverside or City of Industry in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Generate and analyze monthly banking reports for senior management which include, but are not limited to, customer credit card spend and interchange fees, bank services/fees, and deposit lags.
• Monitor daily customer receipt reporting and deposit activity for all 22 stores along with supporting the stores by providing training as necessary.
• Lead internal trainings on PO system for all buyers (new and existing) to ensure proficient understanding of the PO process.
• Assist manager in development of strategic cost saving initiatives through a continuous, comprehensive analysis of current spend habits against current market conditions.
• Evaluate the procurement process on a regular basis to ensure activities are following company guidelines and are the most cost efficient possible.
• Provide user support as a back-up administrator of the purchasing card system and credit card processing system.
• Prepare and review weekly Unapplied Cash Summary for finance management team.
• Assists the manager with ad hoc projects as necessary.
• Maintains and supports a safe work environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business or related major.
MBA and 5-6 years of experience in related field preferred, but not required. Strong Excel skills required.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Power Point with the strongest emphasis in Excel.
