The University of Arizona's College of Veterinary Medicine invites applicants for the position of Financial Aid Coordinator, Sr. The College of Veterinary Medicine Office of Student Affairs Team utilizes a holistic approach to student advising and service. We are seeking an individual to join in this mission and cultivate an expert knowledge base regarding the veterinary career life cycle. This role will provide student support with a focus on high-level exceptional student service in a team-based environment. The position report to the Director of Financial Aid. The Financial Aid Coordinator, Sr. is involved in an important process—helping students attain the resources to complete their veterinary degree and practice in their field of interest. Financial Aid Administration team works to provide a customer service focus in accurate processing and administration of financial aid.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interprets (institutional, state, and federal) financial aid regulations, and implements procedures to ensure regulatory and fiduciary compliance and timely delivery of financial aid
- Manages the financial aid general email, chat, and texting account
- Serves as liaison with other College departments in the resolution of day-to-day administrative or operational issues
- Participates in student orientations
- Promotes customer service and commitment to creating a positive student experience
- Collects and/or analyzes data on students to determine scholarship eligibility, and make awards within donor and/or institutional guidelines
- Provides support and counsel about available financial aid opportunities, eligibility requirements, and the application process to prospective students and current students
- Represents the Financial Aid Office at College function in absence of Director of Financial Aid
- Assists in completing scholarship and financial aid verification forms as needed by scholarship donors/foundations, including Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) forms required by Native American Tribes
- Manages on-going projects for the financial aid office, including websites and student information pages and various projects
- Manages the HRSA (Health Professions) Loan Program for Veterinary Students
Development and implementation of financial aid literacy program - Completes work queries and other processes relevant to the eligibility and disbursement of merit/financial aid
- Actively engages in professional associations in order to remain abreast of changes to regulations, guidelines, and processes
- Manages CVM scholarship postings, liaison with development office and financial aid office
- Assists with planning and overseeing activities in the areas of recruitment, admissions, financial aid, registration, records, residence life, advising, and support services, coordinating as needed with central functions, specialists, and/or other University resources
- Plan and implement information sessions related to financial aid first year incoming students and prospective students
- Attends professional conferences and actively engages in professional associations in order to remain abreast of changes to regulations, guidelines, and processes
- Attends financial aid webinars and information sessions for continuous learning of financial aid best practices and procedures

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required
