The Financial Aid Advisor supports the Director of Financial Aid and the other Financial Aid Advisor. You will be responsible for distributing valuable financial aid information to prospective and current students and alumni. The person in this position will work autonomously after given direction in a variety of tasks and duties to ensure accuracy of application processing for financial aid.

The Financial Aid Advisor supports the following:
- Perform a variety of duties in support of the Financial Aid Office including office/clerical filing, answering calls, emails and walk in appointments.
- Counsel and advise students about financial aid eligibility, application procedures, aid programs, costs, billing process, indebtedness, money management and financial planning.
- Determine student eligibility for Title IV aid. Prepare student award packages. Counsel with students to discuss financial aid related issues.
- Interpret and implement Federal Methodology, verification requirements and College policies as they relate to providing financial aid counseling and eligibility.
- Calculate return of Title IV aid for federal and institutional aid, in accordance with federal and institutional regulations/policies. Communicate with Business Office staff of changes in financial aid awards.
- Actively participate in conferences, workshops, and training to maintain current knowledge and compliance requirements for Title IV federal aid programs.
- Perform other financial aid duties that contribute to the recruitment and retention of students.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience Required:
- General office management experience (phones, filing, calendar, administrative duties)
- Clerical and customer service experience within student services
- Using Microsoft office suite, multiple calendar management
Education Requirements:
Minimum Education/Certifications High School Diploma/GED
Desired Education/Certifications Bachelor’s Degree
Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.

The University campus is home to two open-to-the-public clinics. The Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine focuses on non-opioid solutions to pain and pain management. Treatments range from cupping and acupuncture to regenerative injection therapies. The Medicinary is the largest natural medicinary in Arizona offering an expansive collection of the highest quality, professional grade supplements, herbs, and health products. Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extensive periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse. Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 25 pounds. Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Communicate to perform essential functions.
