SouthCoast Health Imaging Department Is Looking For An Experienced File Room Clerk
Responsible for all data entry for primary and outside reads, burning cds, printing film, processing medical records and answering phones.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate clearly and speak concisely.
- Ability to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationship with physicians, coworkers and patients.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Knowledge of general filing principles.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure file/film order and assembly as related to file format.
- Monitor the active and inactive file areas of the Imaging Center for adequate space.
- Arrange charts in alpha (or numeric) order, according to process in use..
- Manage report distribution system ensuring all reports are distributed to the referring physician in accordance with SouthCoast Imaging Center protocols..
- Maintain functionality of RIMAGE.
- Scan documents as needed.
- Assist Techs in troubleshooting images in PACS.
- Handle third party correspondence and telephone requests in accordance with release of information policies.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma. At least one year work experience in a medical office/Imaging department setting.
