We currently have a full-time open position for a Field Technician with our Equipment/Operations Team. This position will support the eastern Pennsylvania region . JOB SUMMARY

Performs a variety of duties relative to installation, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and storing of equipment in the water technology industry. This position is based in the Holmes, PA area with daily travel daily to work sites mostly in eastern Pennsylvania. An overnight stay is rare. This position is full-time non-exempt and eligible for overtime.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installs, distributes, and/or delivers equipment and materials to customers as needed.
  • Moves material within a warehouse or storage facility to and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling, or using hand trucks or forklift.
  • Loads or unloads material, equipment, merchandise or supplies from automobiles, trucks or other vehicles.
  • Trouble-shoots and performs preventive maintenance of equipment when necessary.
  • Sets up and removes equipment and supplies; ensures equipment is functioning properly and stored appropriately.
  • Checks equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis. Maintains inventory of such.
  • Obtains and returns required equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and chemical testing as needed
  • Evaluates condition and value of items and recommends same for storage, scrap, or donation.
  • Compiles data for and prepares regularly scheduled or special reports, analyses, and statements.
  • Promotes and observes all safety policies and compliance requirements. Wears necessary safety equipment.
  • Maintains and cleans the company vehicle provided.
  • Fosters teamwork and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
  • Attends meetings as required and participates on committees when requested.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Participates in the company’s performance review program.
  • Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Understanding of plumbing and electrical power.
  • Mechanic aptitude i.e., understanding and using machines or tools.
  • Ability to work after hours when needed.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED. A combination of formal education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ in a related field such as HVAC, plumbing, heating, and electronics required including the ability to troubleshoot root/case analysis on-site.

  • This position is required to travel daily from either your home base or our warehouse located in Holmes, PA. Also, this position is required to travel occasionally as requested to our main business location in York, PA.
