To safely and efficiently clean bulk storage vessels and other industrial areas at customer sites and follow all safety, customer and company policies and procedures.

Documentation

  • Completes all required documentation, including DOT logbooks and expense reports, in a coherent, legible and timely manner.

Production

· Able to perform manual labor 12 hours a day, up to seven days a week, in safety-sensitive environments such as high places or confined spaces, and in variable weather conditions.

· Capable of working independently and with others.

· Conscientious about work quality and work area neatness.

· Manages own time to ensure he/she remains productive.

Safety and Risk Management

· Accepts accountability for own conduct and obligations.

· Demonstrates an appropriate concern for safety and risk management.

· Reports equipment issues, safety hazards or related concerns to appropriate staff.

· Uses appropriate safety and personal protection equipment; follows safety instructions and protocols.

· Air monitoring certification required.

· Confined space certification (entrant, attendant) required.

· DOT certification required.

· Drug free certification required.

· Respiratory fitness test certification required.

· Successfully completes 40-hour Hazwoper training course and annual refresher courses preferred.

· Successfully completes company Driver Safety training.

· Successfully completes company Mole Blaster training.

· Successfully completes OSHA 10-hour training course and annual refresher courses required.

Technical – General

· Adheres to company ethics, code of conduct, and all applicable policies and procedures.

· Demonstrates basic mechanical aptitude through life or work experiences, e.g., able to properly and safely use simple hand tools such as wrench, hammer, drill, screwdriver; and able to comprehend how parts are put together with minimal supervision.

· Demonstrates proficient basic electrical skills such as the ability to identify faulty wiring and cable; operation of basic electrical hand tools, e.g., core drill, hammer drill, right angle drill, saws-hall and angle grinder; proper use of a ground fault circuit interpreter; and proper use of jumper cables.

· Demonstrates willingness and ability to constructively interact with coworkers for extended periods of time; resolves conflicts quickly and productively.

· Lifts, hauls and moves machinery and machinery parts from place to place.

· Performs work under direct supervision.

· Safely drives to job site in company vehicle or flies to job site, depending on distance.

· Travels domestically and internationally up to 97% of time; valid passport required.

Technical – Job-Specific

  • Demonstrates basic hydraulic and pneumatic skills, e.g., can identify valves, motors and types of hoses, and understands all safety procedures.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the use and proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with JR360, Arch Master, Big Mole, Vac Truck, Air Compressors, Hydraulics, hydro-blasting and other project-specific equipment as required.
  • Maintains two-way communication with ground-based supervisor as project dictates.
  • MSHA 5000-23 certification required.
  • Obtains materials from trailer, suppliers, etc. needed for crew and project.
  • Satisfactorily passes combination vehicle road test.
  • Shadows experienced crew and effectively learns equipment and processes.
  • Tears down, cleans and replaces equipment in trailer upon completion of project.
  • Walks belt lines; climbs ladders, catwalks and scaffolds; works in congested areas and confined spaces; rotates and moves equipment.

Education and/or Experience

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or;

· One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations

· Valid driver license required; CDL preferred

Language Skills

· Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Write routine reports and correspondence.

· Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

· Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

· Compute rate, ratio and percentages as well as draw and interpret bar graphs

REASONING ABILITY

· Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions

· Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
