In this position, you will utilize a wide variety of skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems for external customers as well as for our internal departments.

In this position, you will:

  • Work with external customers as well as internal departments to ensure effective troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain products/equipment.
  • Train employees, identify, analyze, and repair product failures, order and replace parts as needed.
  • Determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software related problems.
  • Perform system backups and recovery.
  • Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior time management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex data and technical documentation.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Broad knowledge base spanning networking and servers (infrastructure)

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • User-based technical support on all Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Mobile device management, primarily iOS devices
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016
  • SAN and VMWare administration
  • Networking/Security
  • Meraki Firewalls
  • Enterprise Wireless
  • Routing and switching
  • VoIP

Work Schedule/Travel:

  • Standard Meriplex business hours of Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, after hours and holidays required periodically.
  • Estimated up to 80% travel required.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary Work – Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
