The State of Connecticut, Department of Aging and Disability Services (ADS) State Unit on Aging (SUA) is recruiting for two Field Representatives. These roles will be responsible for developing and overseeing programs to serve adults age 60 and older including administrative, fiscal and technical support activities provided to Aging Network providers, such as, senior centers, for services provided through Federal and State funds. Duties may also include grant writing, program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, data collection, data and narrative reporting and community presentations.
The Mission of the Department of Aging and Disability Services is to maximize opportunities for the independence and well-being of people with disabilities and older adults in Connecticut. Our programs, policies and practices are designed to:
- Deliver aging and disability services responsive to the needs of Connecticut citizens
- Provide leadership on aging and disability issues statewide
- Provide and coordinate aging and disability programs and services in the areas of employment, education, independent living, accessibility and advocacy
- Advocate for the rights of Connecticut residents with disabilities and older adults
- Serve as a resource on aging and disability issues at the state level

2. A Master's Degree in planning, public administration or other closely related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with grant writing, program development and implementation in the field of Aging
- Experience with caregiver program implementation or providing program services to senior centers
- Experience collecting and reporting data for program evaluation
- Experience writing program narrative reports including statistical and fiscal information
- Experience conducting presentations about programs to community agencies or consumers
