OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

Coordinate and perform detailed field commissioning services for all FMSI facilities including implementation of commissioning checklists and procedures, regular site observation of installed systems, verification and validation of commissioned systems controls and equipment, and documentation of the Commissioning process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Interact with SCA construction personnel during the construction phase of the project.
• Learn the SCA specifications and design requirements for HVAC and HVAC controls.
• Perform HVAC controls system inspections at the school construction sites enforcing the plans and specifications, and write-up reports for distribution to appropriate personnel.
• Attend project site meetings and elaborate on the field inspection comments.
• Follow-up with SCA personnel and contractors regarding the correction of the field deficiencies.
• Perform HVAC controls functional performance testing with the Temperature controls contractor and submit commissioning report to the appropriate CTI project manager.
• Review HVAC controls graphics at the custodian PC (school operating console) and submit error report to the appropriate CTI project manager.

Performance Metrics are:

• Accurate, timely and complete field inspection and commissioning reports
• Timely completion of Field Affidavits for the documentation of field work
• Accurate Time Reporting for Job number, Task code, hours reported
• Use NYCSCA standard format reports to communicate the project progress

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Three years minimum relevant experience in the HVAC controls industry. Municipal public works project experience is a plus.
• Must have technical writing and good communications skills.
• Must be meticulous and detail oriented.
• A valid driver’s License, good driving record and willingness to drive in NYC.
