We are looking for an experienced Manager to organize and oversee the operations of a FedEx Ground Contractor in the area of Charlotte/Concord, North Carolina. Effective area managers are skilled in managing diverse operations, have a strategic mindset, and are excellent leaders. Excellent abilities in operations planning is essential for the role. The goal is to ensure our operation will meet and exceed expectations of business development and efficiency. This position will report to the District Manager. This position will primarily be remote but will require routine trips to the FedEx facilities.

***Knowledge of FedEx Ground and/or CDL Class A Truck Driving Operations is preferred but not required.***

Responsibilities:

Formulate fruitful business development strategies to ensure long-term success

Set standards and objectives for different routes and customers

Optimize and oversee operations to ensure efficiency

Lead a team of CDL Class A Drivers towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals

Ensure compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines

Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions

Evaluate performance using key metrics and address issues to improve it

Report to senior executives on progress and issues

Assist upper management in decisions for expansion or acquisition

Skills:

Proven experience as area manager, assistant manager, or similar managerial role Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

Excellent problem-solving abilities
