The Sales Manager will make an immediate impact on the NA Fasteners Business by quickly developing new customer opportunities within the Aerospace, Automotive and Industrial
Fastener markets. We seek to double growth in this business over the next five years and are looking for someone to guide which lanes we pursue, generate high quality, mid-large size opportunities, and build off our existing pipeline.

The Sales Manager will create our strategy in alignment with the company’s short- and long-term objectives and have autonomy to manage the full sales process. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Fastener Sales and Engineering who enjoys both technical and sales aspects and wants to play a significant role in growing our Fastener Distribution business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Grow Sales

  • Design and drive the Fastener business sales strategy – with impact in first six months of employment.
  • Develop and secure new business based on market research and relationship building with new and existing customers and industries.
  • Identify and propose potential acquisitions and joint ventures.
  • Develop and manage sales pipeline aligned to sales cycle to ensure continued sales success.
  • Negotiate pricing and other terms within the accounts to ensure maximum revenue and profit from new business to include terms and conditions that will minimize the company’s risk.
  • Deliver regular status updates to business and company management.
Strengthen Customer Relations
  • Responsible for full account management with Fastener customers.
  • Liaison between customer and internal fastener engineers to ensure consistent understanding of technical specifications, requests, and capabilities.
  • Lead meetings and ensure appropriate communication and follow up with all parties.
  • Lead customer onboarding including analysis of customer financials to ensure viability of customer and business being introduced and coordination with Operations to launch new programs.
  • Identify and introduce potential new suppliers to align with customer needs and improve profitability.
  • Prepare detailed financial models forecasting account performance over life of agreement. Communicate financial performance expectations across leadership teams.
  • Proactively communicate with key stakeholders. Facilitate successful resolution to customer issues and changing needs.
DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • High integrity
  • Aerospace, Automotive and Industrial sales experience
  • Fastener Sales and/or Engineering experience, with strong grasp of the market
  • Bias toward action; results-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analysis and MS Office proficiency
  • Ability to plan, manage and meet sales goals. Proven track record of sales achievement.
  • Ability to identify and articulate customer needs – and create a meaningful value proposition
  • Prior success in directly driving business, maintaining client relationships and people management.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, organization, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
